Shanghai Yueyang Hospital
Shanghai Yueyang Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine Hospital, affiliated with Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, was founded in 1976. It is a Class A tertiary comprehensive hospital, recognized by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine as a national key integrated Chinese and Western medicine hospital.
The hospital has three main campuses: one in Da Bai-shu center, one in the Qin Hai Road Specialists Clinic, and one at the Shanghai Acupuncture Meridian Institute. It also has four branches in Chongming, Minghang, Haikou, and Yiwu districts, providing medical services citywide. Facilities include a well-equipped rehabilitation center, a certified PCR laboratory, and GMP-certified traditional Chinese medicine preparation facilities.
With 31 clinical departments, 8 medical and technical support departments, 1,150 beds, and over 1,600 employees, the hospital specializes in non-drug therapies such as acupuncture, massage, and rehabilitation. It hosts more than 110 specialist outpatient clinics, including 5 national key clinical departments of traditional Chinese medicine and 13 national key clinical departments designated by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Key specialties include massage, acupuncture, hematology, gynecology, and dermatology, treating conditions such as spinal diseases, stroke, pregnancy disorders, chronic aplastic anemia, gout, ulcerative colitis, cervical vertigo, female menopausal syndrome, tinnitus, and deafness. These specialties have reached national or municipal leading levels.
